The nutrient plays an important role in the development of the human body, and any deficiency leads to malnutrition, which results in poor health and poor brain development leading to poor physical state resulting in poor work performance and poor health.

What is the role of nutrients in the process of human life?

Food particles are broken down into tiny pieces with the help of a process named metabolism, with the help of which we get energy. The body needs energy for its processes like growth in the building of new cells, repairing of the wounded area, and maintenance of life processes like breathing, the body also requires energy for the synthesis of proteins.

What do nutrients do for our bodies?

Vitamins are chemicals that help in the regulation of our body processes, e.g potassium helps in proper working of nerves and muscle functioning. If we are taking a sufficient diet, (balanced diet) with enough protein and calories then we are also getting the required amount of vitamins and minerals through it. Similarly, vitamins also help our body to use energy from the diet we eat.

The body breakdown each of them through metabolism ultimately giving us the required energy but it depends upon the variety of healthy food we eat if there is variety in food that we are getting its obvious we are getting multiple nutrients through it. The body also starts giving out results when we focus on working out, which is an important part of living. 

Good nutrition plays a vital role in leading a healthy lifestyle. Together with physical activity, your diet can help you to attain a healthy weight, reduce your risk of chronic diseases (like heart disease and cancer, obesity), and maintain your overall health.

Sources are milk, yogurt, fruits especially, bananas. Many people also take supplements containing calcium and Vit D. deficiency of this vitamin may lead to a disease named “rickets” in children.
